New English Words App – Let’s Find It

Nate Games has launched a new application for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch which teaches foreign users of any background new English words as well as their correct pronunciation.

The new app, called ‘Let’s Find It’, which is now available for download from iTunes, says that it teaches new words in a creative and engaging way.  Users interact with a cartoon monster who gives them directions to find various objects.  At the start of each game numerous random objects are scattered around the game’s playing field, after which the game’s monster tells players what it is looking for and waits for them to find it.

The game’s written and audio services help users identify and correctly pronounce new words, expanding their English vocabulary and their understanding of the language as a result.

Great for kids but can be enjoyed by learners of all ages.

Love this post. I’ve been thinking for a while that I’d like to see a list somewhere of a bunch of different apps students can use. On a similar note, this is a good blog to check out if you haven’t seen it:
